We start out with a poster, because if you can make a poster (just a rectangle) you can make just about anything else. Plus, chances are you already know someone, or a charity, or a band, who could use a poster for an upcoming event which will help you start to build up your portfolio and also give you real-world experience working with someone else on a graphic design project.

Make a Typography Poster with Adobe Illustrator 4:32

In this project, you’ll learn the basics of how to work with Adobe Illustrator while making awesome quote posters using the quote, “A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.” But, you can use any quote you want to follow along!
